    Sony offers this Software Update for the owners of the following Sony Personal Navigation Devices :

    • NVX-P1 Personal Navigation Device and NVX-P1 Desktop software.

    • This update improves the following product functionality:
      • The management of POI is improved.
      • Displaying the speed indication in 2D mode is improved.

    Instalirajte

    1. Download the software update to your PC.

      • Ensure all Windows update patches and upgrades are applied before installing the update.
      • You must be logged as an administrator (for Microsoft Windows 2000 and XP).
      • Create the following folder on the C drive: nvx_update.
      • Make sure that no program is running except your Internet browser.
      • You must accept the terms of the End User Licence Agreement below.
        Then, click Download. A window will pop up.
        Save the file to the nvx_update folder on your C drive.
      • When the download is complete, check that the file is correctly downloaded:
        • Setup.exe (size is 5.89 MB - 6,178,774 bytes). If size is different, delete the file and download it again.

    2. Install the software update on your PC.

      • Make sure that your computer does not enter into standby or hibernation mode during the whole process.
      • Go to C:\nvx_update and double click Setup or Setup.exe

      • The following wizard window will appear: Sony NVX-P1 Desktop Service Pack.

      • Click Next. The following window will appear:

      • Wait until the update is completed.

      • Click Finish to restart the computer if asked for or to start the NVX-P1 Desktop software.

    3. Upgrade your NVX-P1 Personal Navigation Device.

      • Make sure that your computer does not enter into standby or hibernation mode and do not disconnect or turn off your NVX-P1 Personal Navigation Device during the whole process.
      • Open NVX-P1 Desktop software if it has not automatically started.

      • Connect the NVX-P1 Personal Navigation Device to your computer with the supplied USB cable. Make sure that your NVX-P1 Personal Navigation Device is connected to the power supply with the power adaptor. Turn it on and wait until the following screen appears:

      • Click Yes to upgrade your NVX-P1 Personal Navigation Device and wait while the NVX-P1 Personal Navigation Device is updated.

      • During the update, the NVX-P1 Personal Navigation Device will automatically reboot and the update will continue. It may take a few minutes until the update is completed.

      • When the update is completed, the update dialog box will disappear.

      • You can now check that your NVX-P1 Desktop software and your NVX-P1 Personal Navigation Device are correctly updated: click Help, and then click About from the menu bar.

      • The following window will appear:
        setupScroll down until you see the version information:
        • NVX-P1 Desktop version should be v3.5.2.2.
        • NVX-P1 version should be v3.60.1026.
        • Bootloader version should be v03.25.0030.

      • Delete the nvx_update folder file that you have created on your C drive.
      • If version numbers are as stated above, your NVX-P1 Desktop software and Personal Navigation Device were correctly updated. If versions are different, proceed with step 1 again.
